The Blue Flames Of The Doom



EN In a dreamlike trance, unlikely connections punctuating the subterraneous world are revealed to the narrator. Speaking from the mountains of central Mexico, amid volcanic eruptions that unfold as chain reactions, a series of images, all tinged with bluish hues, begin to be perceived as keys to surviving the great cataclysm. Written, produced and performed in its entirety by Daniella Domingues and Victor Galvão, the piece combines archive and new material produced by both artists since 2017. «The Blue Flames of the Doom» describes a landscape beyond dystopia, where gazing into the planet's interior from the edge of its abysses brings visions of what remains after the collapse and possible ways of being in the world.

PT Num transe onírico, conexões improváveis que pontuam o mundo subterrâneo são reveladas à narradora. Falando das montanhas do México central, em meio a erupções vulcânicas que se desdobram como reações em cadeia, uma série de imagens, todas tingidas de tons azulados, começam a ser percebidas como chaves para sobreviver ao grande cataclismo. Escrita, produzida e interpretada integralmente por Daniella Domingues e Victor Galvão, a peça combina materiais inéditos e de arquivo produzidos pelos artistas desde 2017. «The Blue Flames of the Doom» descreve uma paisagem além da distopia, onde contemplar o interior do planeta a partir da borda de seus abismos traz visões do que resta após o colapso e possíveis formas de estar no mundo.
